This is maybe my 5th time buying this shoe, first time in this color. I mainly wear the black, also dark and light blue, and now white. All are favorites in the rotation. Super comfy, plenty of toe space and it works well for my square foot, and as a personal trainer, I can demo anything in the warmup with no limitations to foot mobility. They are not my workout shoe (that's barefoot), but I have no problem working out in these. For some reason, I have to order 2 sizes up. That's never made sense to me. I am normally a W11 and I get these in W13. I can't specify the correct size below because there is a typo for my size.

I’m a physical therapist and have worn VivoBarefoot ‘s and Altra’s for a long time. I bought Splays for a few years for my kids and finally snagged a few for myself. Glad I did. Very good fit and comfortable on my feet all day. Have only had them for a few weeks—not sure about longevity yet. I’m very happy with the purchase and have recommended them to some patients.

Although the size seems okay, the canvas material is so stiff that it really hurts the top of my foot where the seams are sewn together. Even though I paid the extra fee so I could try them out for 30 days, I was not home to return them. My wife had emergency heart surgery (pacemaker implant). The hospital was a long distance from home. When I did get to try them out, it was way past the 30 day trail. I've used a shoe stretcher but it doesn't help. Should I wash them to try to get rid of the stiffness? Any ideas? I've purchased many "barefoot" shoes from other online stores, but this was the first purchase from Splay Shoes. I really like the style and the red color.
