I LOVE these shoes....thought it would be difficult to get used to not having a built-up heel . But actually I have better footing in the gym, and they are comfy enough to wear the rest of the day . I don't know if it matters but it might for the record, I am a 78 year old female who has worn" running 'I love these shoes! Had the previous version of these last school year. Like the changes that were made these are comfortable shoes perfect for a kid that wants non flashy shoes that won't easily get filthy looking.

The gum sole feels much more durable compared to the black sole of the older version. I loved my last pair, but completely wore through them, so I came back to Splay and sized up .5 since my feet have adapted to need more space now.
This blue is more of a deep teal than a navy/denim color of the old pair, but you can tell that from the photos, so no surprise.
I added mid-arch inserts and took these for a gentle zone 2 run today and they felt great, no complaints!

The Splay! is a great running shoe. I should have progressed my running when I first tried them, so I was a bit sore after my first 10 KM. But they have been great since and very comfortable.
I will most likely buy a second pair and alternate them for runs.
And purchasing them was super easy. I thought I would have issues because they were coming to Canada via the U.S., but they arrived on schedule 7-8 days later.
Thanks to my chiro/physio for suggesting them.
