I have run in them- but they are mostly my go to casual shoe as they are very cute.
Dear Splay- I wish you made a suede leather “half-cab” style skate shoe made in the US. Every skateboarder would buy that. Your skate shoes are great- but you don’t have one of the most iconic skate silhouettes. Look up the classic half cab. Make it simple and you will have a very popular product.

Splay are now my favorite shoes. Even o er my Ecco’s!!! Never thought I’d say that. I was a shoe salesman and personal trainer for many years. So I know the importance of anatomically correct shoes with a wider toe box and zero drop. These are lightweight and so comfy. Absolutely love them! AND they look cool!!! Can’t beat em!!!

Ordered these shoes and was expecting a speedy delivery from Utah to California. I waited, and waited, then after reaching out to inquire about my order Splay explained there was some kind of mishap and got em shipped out. Ordered on Jan 5th, received on January 24th.
Next, the shoes look great, but for a barefoot shoe enthusiast like myself I had to remove the insole. The insole has arch support and any arch support will cause me foot pain. I wear them without the insole and they are fine. I took them on a 2 mile walk my first wear and no break-in period was needed. With that said, this will probably be my last pair of Splay shoes and I will stick with Xero, PaperKrane, Groundies, and VivoBarefoot shoes.
