Splay shoes generally run true to size.

However, due to Splay's unisex sizing and barefoot shoe shape, there are some slight differences for men and for women:

  • Women: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the larger size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little small for women.
  • Men: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the smaller size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little large for men.

    Takes a little more time to wear in

    These shoes are drop dead cute! But my daughter had blisters on her heels and ankles after the first wearing. Until they get a little more worn in, she will wear them with band aids under her socks. That doesn't seem to bother her, so we are looking forward to having them a little more worn in. As to the rest of the shoe, they are really comfortable and great looking shoes!

    Game changer

    I’ve been looking for a stylish barefoot shoe for so long and these fit my style so well! They easily replaced my vans, and my feet feel so much better. I also had an issue when I initially ordered the wrong size (men’s 9 instead of women’s 9) and their customer service was so fast and helpful in getting it corrected. Love the shoe and the brand!

    Better than true barefoot when surfskating

    Took up surfskating last year, and loved skating barefoot. Started skating parks and bowls so I needed some protection for the feet, and these have been perfect. I now prefer wearing these over actually being barefoot. The grip and feel of the board is as good or better than barefoot. I tried a pair from a different company before these and they didn't offer as much protection, nor did the sole grip the deck as well. The first pair are better for walking, but these are perfect for skating.

    They don't need to be laced up really tight to skate, and they are super comfortable as long as they aren't tight. The only con I see are the laces are longer than I want. Easy fix, but I wish I didn't have to order new laces for every pair of shoes or boots I buy. Still, I love these shoes A LOT!

    My new go to!

    I so love these shoes! The color is beautiful and vibrant. The shape is cozy and im able to splay. I have medium-high volume feet and these fit great. After a few wears theyre a little softer and mold to the feet thankfully. The look is on point. I NEED these in more colors please! Maybe even multicolored .

    Way too big.

    This is my third pair of Splay shoes and the sizing is all over the place. I normally wear a size 8 in other shoes and my first pair of shoes was so small I can’t even wear them. My next pair I purchased size 9 and they fit perfectly. This pair is so large I can’t wear them. Very disappointed in the inconsistent sizing. I’m not going to be buying shoes through the mail anymore.
