Frequently Asked Questions

Have any questions about our running shoes? You’re in the right place.

What makes DASH different from typical children’s sneakers?

DASH is built on a foot-shaped last with a spacious toe box, flexible sole, and a flat, zero-drop platform so the heel and forefoot sit at the same height. The upper is light, breathable mesh; the outsole is a grippy cup sole; and the toe is reinforced with TPU for durability. These details support natural foot movement and everyday comfort.

Do DASH have arch support or added cushioning?

DASH are minimalist shoes: they’re neutral (zero-drop) with minimal structure. They use a thin stack (5 mm in C8–C13; 6 mm in Y1–Y4) and include a 3.5 mm removable insole so you can fine-tune the feel without built-in arch support or lifts. If a softer feel is preferred, keep the insole in; for more ground feedback, remove it.

Are DASH good for PE, recess, and light sports?

Yes. The combination of breathable sport-mesh, flexible construction, and a fun, grippy cup sole is designed to handle school days, playgrounds, and after-school play - “from the playground to the court.” For sport-specific footwear, follow your school/coach guidance.

How should my child transition into minimalist footwear?

Go gradually. Start with short wear periods and increase time over a few days to let feet and calves adapt. Rotate with your child’s current shoes as needed, and watch for unusual soreness. Flexible soles, secure heel fit, and toe space are key checks when choosing kids’ minimalist shoes.

What sizes does DASH cover, and will they work as toddler sneakers?

DASH is offered in child sizes C8–C13 and youth Y1–Y4. C-sizes generally suit younger kids, while Y-sizes fit big kids; consult the size chart for measurements. All sizes share the same foot-shaped toe box up front for growing toes and natural foot movement. The removable insole helps fine-tune fit if you’re between sizes.
