Splay shoes generally run true to size.

However, due to Splay's unisex sizing and barefoot shoe shape, there are some slight differences for men and for women:

  • Women: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the larger size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little small for women.
  • Men: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the smaller size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little large for men.

    They work!

    So I purchased the 10.5’s and they were to small after wearing them for a week , so I made myself spend the money and give it another shot and ordered the 11’s. Thankful I did! Most comfortable shoe I’ve had on my feet yet!

    Good shoe

    These are cool shoes. I had to size up and still my toes touch the end of the shoe. Two cons I have with this shoe, is for me when you take the insole out of the shoe my foot is so low in the shoe that the back of the shoe rubs my achilles and ankle really raw until i bleed. the second con is i don’t like the logo “splay” being on every corner of the shoe.

    I wish I loved these shoes

    I absolutely love the look of these shoes and that is what drew me to buy them... I have friends that LOVE Splay shoes for their kids and I couldn't wait for mine to come. At first I thought they were great- I love the spacious toe box and that I can feel the ground through the shoe. The one major problem is that there is some sort of metal in the back of the heel that causes my heels to bleed. I tried emailing Splay about the issue and sadly didn't get a response. Since I had already thrown away the box before realizing the issue I couldn't return... I would love to try another Splay shoe to see if this is only an issue with the REV LT Barecelona style shoe but I can't make myself spend the money after my experience. Hoping maybe Splay will see this and refund me or send me a different shoe that doesn't have the metal in the back of the heel.

    My husband absolutely LOVES these shoes. He has this pair and a pair of the HT and is completely obsessed with them. He has VERY wide feet and has wasted so much money on trying to find shoes that don't kill his feet, and we have finally hit the jackpot with these. Thanks, Splay, for making good-looking shoes that allow wide feet to wear comfortably!!

    Shoes That Make Sense

    Never understood why traditional shoes aren't foot shaped. Gloves are hand shaped. Pants are leg shaped. Shirts are torso shaped. Hats are head shaped. Yada yada yada. I became educated on the subject in 2020 and have been wearing barefoot/foot-shaped shoes ever since. I'm glad I discovered Splay shoes because unlike other "barefoot" shoes, they are actually stylish! No more overlapping toes and painful bunions!
