I have been on my barefoot shoe journey for a year and half. The Splay Freestyle 3.0 is the most foot-shaped shoe I have tried. Previously, the shoe I would reach for most often was the Lems Primal Zen, but now it is the Splay Freestyle. Perfect shape, perfect stack height, perfect flexibility, zero drop, flat insole. So comfortable and healthy. The factor that is missing in most barefoot shoes I try is width in the midfoot and a shape that is straighter through the midfoot instead of banana shaped. The Splay Freestyle checks that box perfectly. A narrow midfoot causes pronation. Freestyle's perfect midfoot width thus results in natural foot function and doesn't cause extra stress on my Achilles tendon as narrow-midfoot shoes do. I cannot speak highly enough of the Freestyle 3.0 and have already purchased it in a second color and gotten rid of my canvas shoes of another brand that don't have the perfect fit of the Freestyle. I hope Splay never stops making the Freestyle 3.0.
