However, due to Splay's unisex sizing and barefoot shoe shape, there are some slight differences for men and for women:

  • Women: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the larger size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little small for women.

    Very comfy

    Great width for my wide feet (10.1cm), I'd say are better for someone with a mid- high volume foot though as the laces are very long on my low volume foot and have to pull then quite tight.

    Very comfy overall and a good neutral design easily matches lots of outfits

    Make sure to measure as they do not equate to standard sizing in high street stores

    2.0 is a cool update!

    I like the new rounded toe and I love the new insert design. It doesn’t bunch up at all when I scrunch my toes and wiggle them around. I’m hoping these inserts will be available for individual sale on the website!! The pebble is a great neutral color. Super comfy shoe. I love Splay shoes and have 11 pairs.

    Husband is sold

    My husband has transitioned recently to barefoot shoes, but his previous pair was from a different manufacturer- cheap and not durable, also his “thicker” feet didn’t have enough room so there was uncomfortable gapping between the tongue and shoe. All those issues are non-issues with his first pair of Splay shoes. He’s ready to buy another pair!
