I've been wearing these shoes daily for over a month and put in a lot of steps into them. I've been on holidays where I've easily put in 40k steps per day for several days.
They are definitively not as 'bare-footey' as many others in the sense of the sole is still thick. For people who are not really into barefoot shoes but would like some wide toebox / anatomically shaped shoes, these are great.
They are quite low volume so I tend to wear them a bit loose near the toes, so be weary of that if you have a thick foot.
Wjhere they can improve:
I don't know if this is a specific issue of the pair that I got, the material or is it rather across all shoes (or at this model). The stichings where the side panels and the toebox panel meet, are quite rough. I'm not going to lie, it hurt quiet a bit specially if the shoes are too tight. It doesn't seem like it is going to wear down or something, so it would be nice if Splay do address this. The days that it hurts a lot, putting a bandaid solves the issue, but it shouldn't be there to begin with.
Another suggestion to Splay, regarding the website. It would be nice to have a small tag or something that identifies the shoes as vegan friendly since I noticed that some shoes are hard to decifer sometimes if they have like a strip of suede or something like that. Also, I'm pretty sure that it would help to drive some traffic with seo :)
Being a bit nitpicky, it would also be nice to have sizing in eu sizes.
