This is my second pair of the Runner V1 - I liked the first pair so much I got another pair in a more neutral color (burgandy doesn't go with everything! And they've got over 150 miles on em). They're my favorite travel shoes and great for running - I like a little cushion for long days of walking and for running. The only reason these didn't give a 5 is because they look worn very quickly. Otherwise, one of my faves and I've tried LOTS of minimal shoes.

I picked these shoes for light exercise and I am keeping them but would not buy them again. I was most disappointed in how stiff the sole is. It is very thick and rigid. I don't usually consider my feet high volume but I had to remove the soles in order for them to be comfortable. The heel is somewhat loose and because of the rigid sole, my heel lifts out frequently. Heel lock lacing helped but it's not perfect. These will be fine for light exercise but if I was seriously running or working out, I would not use them. I love Splays kids shoes and buy them exclusively for my boys so I had high hopes. Maybe I would try again for a casual adult shoe. They are more affordable than many barefoot brands which I appreciate.

Tried to get these for my bro but it needs more width in the forefoot. His foot spills over the edge of the sole. Will the new version be wider at the ball of the big toe and pinky toe?

This shoe’s shape is not for my foot shape. Glad I paid for the option to try them. I wore them once and realized they round too much at the large toe to front of shoe. Super simple process to ship back and exchange. I love my Rev HTS though…great shape for me!
