This is an amazing shoe for the cost. Leather great, rubber sole the usual goodness, insert the usual goodness. You can't ask for much else. The toe box is adjusted for a more universal look and does touch the pinky more than before but it's a great balance/compromise for a look that's still nominally barefoot. Very comfy and the leather is pretty soft right out the box. I would not hesitate to tell anyone to buy this if they wanted all leather biz cas shoes for a great price. I thought the brown was going to be too dark to be universally upscale but I was wrong. it could be a shade lighter but it's very doable with all colors of pants/shorts. I've had no issues with noise or feel. A really great update. Things to improve...the shoe laces are cheap looking and changing out for a nicer brown makes them look way nicer. The shoe opening leather could be softer to make it easier to slide in, even if just the edge trim piece. You could think about adding stitching to the sole for more durability but I've not had sole delam issues with my gen 1 canvas so it's probably not necessary. I have this shoe, the gen 1 canvas, and the gen 1 V1. I use euro sizing and got a 43 which in this shoe is 9.5 and feels about like a 43.

Truly an amazing barefoot shoe, super light and comfy, high quality leather. Super soft. I love them, wish Splay had an option for picking your lace colors (wishful thinking). Definitely 5 stars, I already purchased 2 other colors of the leather sneakers 2026.
