Splay shoes generally run true to size.

However, due to Splay's unisex sizing and barefoot shoe shape, there are some slight differences for men and for women:

  • Women: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the larger size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little small for women.
  • Men: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the smaller size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little large for men.

    So much better!

    My son would only wear a solid black high-top skater shoe with a similar look...and he wore it to everything! However, I HATED them bc of the narrow toes. Enter Splay HT Carlsbad and he has officially tossed the other shoes! He has been wearing these about 2 months and told me he was never going back because he is so much more comfortable. Thank you Splay and keep up the good work!!

    .Rev ht Los Angeles / aka cars instead of vans

    I am extremely impressed. I was super excited when these hit the market because I love vans they but are way to narrow . These definitely give off the same vibe and since they aren't vans I have nick named them cars. They have out performed my expectations in both style and comfort. They are definitely giving it you like the skater shoe vibe.LOL

    Needs at mininum a rear pull tab, if not one on the tongue as well. These are even harder to get on than my $200 vivo barefoots (which were smart enough to have tabs).

    These are painful to put on. Since there is no tabs i have to insert my finger and then jam / smash my foot inside against my finger. They are also narrow. Most uncomfortable brand ive worn thus far.

    I’d been looking for some solid barefoot shoes that were reasonably priced and not made from mixed material (other than rubber). I was told the canvas on these are 100% cotton which I love and some areas have the leather on top of the canvas (still natural). The inside of the shoe is 100% cotton which is great if you wear them without socks. They also look fantastic imho! My favorite shoes I’ve had in awhile!
