Splay shoes generally run true to size.

However, due to Splay's unisex sizing and barefoot shoe shape, there are some slight differences for men and for women:

  • Women: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the larger size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little small for women.
  • Men: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the smaller size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little large for men.

    Style and barefoot together!

    I love that these are barefoot and my teen daughter loves that they are stylish - win-win! Appreciate the price (similar to other sneakers but barefoot!) and the Canadian website. They fit based on her foot measurement. Overall very happy with these.

    An Honest Review

    This was my first time buying from Splay. The first pair I got were too big, but Splay quickly made the exchange process effortless! They responded quickly, answered all my questions knowledgeably, and even assisted me with a special request.

    The smaller pair, are slightly too short. Taking out the inserts helped. Half sizes would be perfect if Splay offered them.

    The sole is very flexible, however the rubber around the perimeter is much stiffer which steals from the barefoot experience.

    The toe box is very wide and round. Perfect for extra wide feet, though they are slightly too wide for me. Specified men’s and women’s sizes would help if Splay offered them.

    Though these aren’t a flawless design, I recommend these well made, stylish barefoot shoes. They are comfortable enough that I skipped the “breaking in my shoes while also breaking my feet” phase, so I immediately replaced my Vans and Sperrys with this one pair. I hope that they will last me a long time providing years of quality and comfort.

    Best shoes ever!

    Normally wear my Altra Lone Peaks for running and casually. But wanted to try something wide, and zero drop but more minimal. These are perfect. Can be dressed up and dressed down. Think I will be ordering a lighter pair for the summer. They are prefect.
