REV HTS Carlsbad

I wore barefoot shoes for a decade, but never found any I could skate in until now.

It normally takes me over a month to break in a pair of Vans Sk8-Hi before I am able to skate in them.

I got these on Saturday. Wore them Sunday, skated for 4 hours straight. They were perfect right out of the box.

I was expecting the normal pains you get from switching to barefoot shoes, but never had any.

It is amazing being able to feel my entire board and not just the balls of my feet where the insoles are thin enough.

I mainly skate transition, so I can't testify to impacts from street skating.

I also never bailed, so I don't know how the stitching and top of the toes will hold up on a knee slide bail, but I will update my review after I test them out for a while.

But so far they are the best shoes I have worn in the last 40 years of skating.

I'm not a skater but I do line dance and these are by far my favorite shoes to wear because I still get the barefoot feel but with a little more cushion and shock absorption for jumping and bouncing around! I have them in the black/white too... Would love to see a royal or deep teal type of blue come out! and all white 😍 Also love they are roomier than the old revs!!

My second pair from Splay. Previous pair were REV HT, same color but made of canvas, which is why the lost their shape after becoming wet.

These REV HTS are made of thicker, softer material, have better support, feel much more supple. I use them for gym and boxing training sessions - very comfy.
