    Finally in a normal size shoe.

    Most barefoot/foot shaped brands don't have half sizes. These fit perfect. They could be the slightest bit wider in the toebox, but I don't notice that much. I'm happy with them.

    Great shoes, need more!

    1 year in and going strong! Just ordered new insoles, but the outside is holding up through many miles and tons of work. Hey Splay, make more size 12 greens and/or add some new colors!!!

    Love it!!!

    I wanted the skate shoe look that I’ve had for years but with the room for my feet to be feet. I was lucky to find the Splay Rev Hightops. They have a good amount of room in the toe box and the build of the shoe is great. Feels sturdy, but flexible. I will definitely be returning for more color options as well as recommending to my friends and family! I’ll never go back to narrow shoes.

    Good quality, great value, comfort depends on what you need.

    I’ve been rocking these for a few weeks now. First impressions were very good. The build quality is excellent, all the seams are even and neat. It’s a bit jarring to see the top down view when you’re used to conventional sneakers, but that’s just a matter of getting used to them. I swapped the plain laces for fat checkered laces to give them a bold look.

    In terms of comfort, I’m having mixed feelings. The toe box really is great, and you can spread your toes out like you never have before. Having the high top model gives you some ankle support as well. The shoes are very flexible and provide a lot of ground feel.

    What I’m not super fond of is the lack of padding and structure in the uppers. The parts where the upper panels overlap over the metatarsals form prominent ridges on the inside. If you have puffy or sensitive feet, you can’t really lace them tight or it’ll hurt. I felt the need to really strap myself in to not feel like I’m ’dragging them around’, but the inside of the shoe was just too painful against my feet when worn tightly.

    I would love to see a chunky skate shoe with a bit more substance and refinement to the uppers. That would solve the comfort issue and would also balance out the width of the toe box visually.

    For now, I would call these more of a lifestyle shoe than a skate model, despite the way they’re positioned in the lineup. I want to emphasize that this is purely because of my own sensitivities and expectations, and that there is nothing…

    Perfect right out of the box

    I wore barefoot shoes for a decade, but never found any I could skate in until now.

    It normally takes me over a month to break in a pair of Vans Sk8-Hi before I am able to skate in them.

    I got these on Saturday. Wore them Sunday, skated for 4 hours straight. They were perfect right out of the box.

    I was expecting the normal pains you get from switching to barefoot shoes, but never had any.

    It is amazing being able to feel my entire board and not just the balls of my feet where the insoles are thin enough.

    I mainly skate transition, so I can't testify to impacts from street skating.

    I also never bailed, so I don't know how the stitching and top of the toes will hold up on a knee slide bail, but I will update my review after I test them out for a while.

    But so far they are the best shoes I have worn in the last 40 years of skating.
