I saw these and to be honest I have been wanting to skate slip ons. When you’ve been skating since about 1984 even just getting up to go skate without being warmed up it can hurt just bending over to tie or pull your tight shoes on. So I tried them looked for slips ons with a higher back heel and found very few. Then I saw Splay and saw the back how high it was. I hadn’t even researched the bare foot concept. I just wanted a slip on that didn’t flop off when skating. And the high back did the trick. But after skating them I started to wear them about everywhere and my feet have been through it. And I started to feel my feet like healing. After years of broken toes and I think foot bones. Regular slip ons and alot of skate shoes even when they feel good can push on the sides of your feet especially the front sides making your foot squish even just a bit to where you then are skating walking around with less of your foot on the board and ground. The front of these shaped the way God shaped our feet feel so freeing Thers so much room but without being to big that they fall off. The front of your foot feels so open and wider wich puts more of your foot on the board and ground giving you a more stable stance anywhere or it does for me. So I wasn’t even looking and didn’t know about the possible benefits of this shoe. I just wanted them for the high back of the heel. And that dos work they didn’t come off or feel to. I had wanted to skate in slip ons because after street skating since about 1984 and still now at 57 any bit of help like not bending over tying up laces before u warm up skating around helps. And I have tried over the years many slips and skate shoes. Recently i thought ya i want to just slip and skate but after trying more slips the back part of the heel if its not a bit high they can flop off. So rely the reason i looked into these splays at first was because ther newer skate version slip on has a pretty high back wer u put ur heel in and a nice loop to pull them up if needed. But then i started to read about the shape of the shoe. How it is shaped to fit our feet the way God created us. So after reading about how the shape can help in many ways i thought well i already want to try them cas th high back may hold your foot in. And not only it does but the information about how they fit the foot for me is real. When u out them on at first it’s like ok the heel back feels good and they don’t feel like super Cush like many skate shoes and I wasn’t worried about that. But after wearing and skating in them not only do they stay on they skate great and I just kept wearing them even not skating daily not to break them in cas they come OOTB=Out of the box Skatable! Like super flex redy to go. And after a couple weeks or so wearing them daily my get wich I have broken probably every toe and some multiple times and all kinds of other stuf that I won’t go into how my feet are prettt…
